The purpose of this site is to provide help, information and guidance to UK based sufferers
of the syndrome recognised as Trigeminal Neuralgia.
For technical information, including diagrams on the illness please visit the links to the US
based TNA association.
We have adopted this approach since there is no point in re-inventing what is already more than adequate on the US site, to which we are affilliated members.
However before you go there please take the time to look at the information held on our home site,
by selecting the links in the left margin.
In particular please take the time to browse through our E-MAGAZINE, and be sure to subscribe to the Active Channel link at the bottom of this page. Read the account of a visit to the Gamma Knife centre on the Medical page.
How can you help control TNS? Some sufferers have found that controlling blood pressure is one way to ease symptoms and prevent flare-ups. The use of circulatory system garments like 20-30 mmhg compression socks can help with this. We also recommend some form of light cardiovascular exercise (without wearing compression socks) to strengthen arterial walls and help control blood pressure. Aside from this, regular relaxation and tension relief strategies seem to also help. Please feel free to browse our E-MAGAZINE for more info on TNS relief strategies.
This organisation depends on donations from you.
All proceeds are returned to the running of the organisation. If you are UK based and would like to join, please select the join link.
We are constantly looking for Volunteers to set up local groups. Please e-mail me if you are willing and able.
